Hi-Force has been delivering product training courses in the safe and correct application, use, operation, service, maintenance and repair of hydraulic tools for many years; however since 2013 Hi-Force has invested in further developing this area of the business.
The company’s head office in Daventry, U.K. was formally approved by the ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board) toward the end of 2012, followed by the opening of a purpose built training school in 2013.
ECITB training courses comprise of 4 modules; mechanical joint integrity, safe use of high pressure hydraulic equipment, tooling service and repair and correct tool selection. The training and technical tests are provided as separate elements, with the technical aspects usually completed within 3 – 12 months after the completion of the training element. The in-depth nature of the ECITB courses make them the ideal training course for all professionals employed to carry out mechanical joint integrity and flange management activities, that are associated with potential work scopes to industry standards, or client specific requirements that follow industry guidelines.
Following the success of the UK based training school, coupled with a growing demand for ECITB training in the Oil, Gas and petrochemical industry, Hi-Force applied to have its Middle East facility, located in Jebel Ali Freezone Dubai, to be approved by the ECITB. The training school became an approved provider earlier this year and has since been delivering mechanical joint integrity training courses to numerous personnel in the bolting industry. More recently, the company opened a purpose built training school, located within the current premises, to allow for a designated training space that meets all requirements to carry out ECITB courses to the highest possible standard. The Dubai based training school combines both a practical work space complete with 2 ECITB training rigs, as well as a classroom space to deliver the essential theoretical aspect of the course.
An additional ECITB approved training school is located at our Malaysian premises, and plans are already in place for the Company's South African operation.
Hi-Force’s in house trainers have both the technical and practical knowledge and understanding required to deliver ECITB courses to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, as well as power generation and construction industry applications requiring bolted joint integrity. Hi-Force is committed to delivering first class training to its customer, not only for the commercial gain that comes with providing this value added service, but also to meet the objective of increasing the competence of personnel working within the bolting industry, striving to reduce the potential risk of accidents and incidents wherever possible.
The addition of ECITB approved training courses to Hi-Force’s expanding offering of products and services, is testament to the company’s dedication to providing a one stop solution for all hydraulic tool requirements.
