Summary of Role
We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our team at our Daventry head office. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our international network of authorized distributors, ensuring they meet their targets and effectively handle local key customer accounts, as well as directly managing overseas customers.
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will report to the Sales Manager Hi-Force UK and your main responsibilities will include exploring and developing new business opportunities, ensuring consistent and profitable sales growth. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ongoing sales development of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing, monitoring and developing the performance of an international network of authorised distributors and helping them to achieve their targets
- Meet and exceed sales targets and expectations to encourage the rest of the sales team
- Support and develop business partners in all technical (via assistance from the technical department) and commercial-related activities and general issues related to the promotion of the Hi-Force brand in specific markets
- Preparation of professional quotations and quote follow-up
- Be responsible for developing, negotiating, and maintaining contracts with local key clients and direct overseas customers under remit and within company pricing directions
- Sourcing and locating new Business Partners from territories where the company currently has little or no presence, by building close customer relations and helping them to become a successful Hi-Force business partner
- Representing and promoting the Hi-Force brand at designated exhibitions and product shows as required
- Analysis of the marketplace to fully understand changes in the industry and competitors and proactively capitalize on these for the benefit of the company
- Provide regular, timely, accurate proactive reports and achieve targeted KPIs
- Explore and develop potential new business with new customers and/or new industries
- Provide technical and commercial assistance to other members of the sales team when required
- Liaise with the operations department to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services to customers
- Provide effective sales forecasting in conjunction with the Sales Manager
- Carry out any other duties as required and deemed appropriate and within the capabilities of the individual
- Ensure compliance with company rules and all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements
Skills/Experience required
- Engineering qualification ideally, with knowledge in business development and sales strategies and ideally hydraulic sales
- Previous successful experience in selling industrial equipment is essential
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Able to build and develop strong relationships with customers
- Sales-driven and target and results-oriented – customer/sales ethos
- Must possess excellent planning and decision-making skills
- Willing to travel internationally - ideally business fluent in French, and ideally with knowledge of Arabic and Portuguese
- Skilled in Microsoft Office programs; Word, and Excel – able to use spreadsheets/filters/tables/formulas to analyse data, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Full UK Driving License
