Hi-Force Netherlands has recently taken a significant step toward reducing its environmental footprint by installing over 100 solar panels on the roof of the building.
The solar panels are generating more than enough power to meet the business’s needs, including the charging of employees’ electric vehicles.
Commenting on the green initiative Director Mar Noordhoek said, “In just three short months since installation, our solar panels have generated approximately 15,000 kWh of clean energy, saving us approximately € 6,500 in energy costs. At this rate, we anticipate that the initial investment will be recouped in around 2.5 years.”
By installing these solar panels, we've not only reduced our energy bills and saved 15.27 tonnes of CO2 emissions, (equivalent to planting 836 trees) but also taken steps to comply with new Dutch legislation. Starting in 2024/2025, company premises must have energy labels of A or B, the highest ratings, to be used as offices or work locations. Previously, Hi-Force Netherlands held a label C rating, but with our recent solar panel installation, we've upgraded to a label B rating, positioning us ahead of the curve in meeting these regulations.
We are proud of the strides Hi-Force Netherlands has made in its journey towards sustainability, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to reduce our environmental impact globally.
