Supporting Local Talent
30 Mar 2016
Hi-Force partners with a local University Technical College in Daventry, to provide students with an insight into the manufacturing processes involved in the hydraulics tools industry. Students are invited to take a tour of the facility whilst being educated on the processes involved at each stage of manufacturing and assembling of a Hi-Force torque wrench. This experience supports the students in their studies through allowing them to apply what they learn in a classroom, to a real world situation.
Throughout 2016, Hi-Force is inviting selected students from the college to participate in a one week work experience. This experience will involve material handling and machine shop sessions, as well as assembly and testing. In addition to the benefits the students will receive from gaining this type of experience, Hi-Force also hopes that this process will highlight any potential apprentices who may be suitable to join the company after graduation.
Grahame Bishop, an Engineering teacher from the college commented, “I would like to thank Hi-Force for the support with our student’s projects this year. For some of our students it was their first insight into the industry and has helped them to better understand the subject.”
