Railway Bridge Project in Amsterdam

The Hi-Force office in Holland supplied HSM Steel Structures BV with HDA3006 double acting 300 tonne cylinder for the Utark Railway bridge project by ProRail.

The new Utark railway bridge being built over the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal, between Utrecht Central Station and Leidsche Rijn Station, is part of the project to expand the railway track from two to four tracks. The project comprises of broadening of the railroad, construction of a railway bridge and a railway crossover, revision of the old railway bridge, renewing existing tracks and taking four tracks into service.

As part of a consortium, HSM is responsible for the construction and installation of the steel railway bridge and jacking of the old railway bridge. The HDA3006 cylinders will assist HSM to ensure that the bridge sections are aligned properly during installation as well as to allow them to carry out corrections if necessary.
